A New Year, A New Opportunity
2009 — Amazing!
In December, 1985, after 3 surgeries, 3 months of intensive radiation, and consultations with the world’s leading doctors and oncologists, I was told I had less than 2 months to live.
I was certain in my heart that God still had something more for me to do here on this earth and knew the doctors were wrong, but it never occurred to me just how much He had planned for me. Here I am, 23 plus years later, still serving in His Garden. He has shown me so many things, taught me so many things, and used me to accomplish so much. Now He has called me to reach out to others in an ever greater way.
This first post begins appropriately with giving Him the Glory and Honor for all that has been and will be. Without His Grace and Mercy, I would have died, just as the doctors predicted so many years ago. He has shown me such Love and Generosity, it is beyond comprehension and thought. I had not and do not deserve any of it, yet He gave without hesitation to me His little child.
The truth you may not know is that He will do the same for you. Just turn to Him in Faith and Love. Even if at first your thoughts are grounded in fear and despair, keep going to Him in prayer and asking for His help, and you will see your life change. I am living proof, as are many, many others in this world.
There is life beyond cancer, life beyond physical pain, life beyond financial disaster, life beyond the daily despair, and it is yours for the asking. This is a New Year, a New Opportunity! Ask and you shall receive. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. This is 2009 — Your Year to Shine!
